expertadvice1The countdown has begun. You have only few days left for  JEE Main 2017. It is the right time you concentrate, calm yourself down and brush on your last minute notes. So, take these Do’s and Don’ts before the run up to the JEE Main exam.

DO’S

Mock Tests

There’s nothing that can replace last minute revisions. And to get a fair real time feel of the impending exams it is advised that you appear for Mock tests. The three-hour practice every day from 9 to 12 seated on table chair with the phone kept aside will help you understand the exam hall situation. After you have given the exam, analyze your weak spots and what is consuming more time.

Work On Strengths

It is not possible to master all the topics for JEE Main. You will definitely have some weak areas and there will be your strengths as well. While you can try and develop the weak spots like reducing calculation time, it is best that you focus on your strengths. The more you practice and revise them, you will get to know them better. It is very wrong, especially at this final hour, to have a ‘taken-for-granted’ attitude towards your strengths in the syllabus.

Positive Attitude

Positivity can take you places. Believe in yourself that you will perform well at the exam hall. Never go for a self-doubt trip. The negativity in your thought affects your performance.

Sleep

Your body needs rest. A fresh mind will help you think better. Also if you usually sleep late, try to go to bed early and wake up by 7 to 8 A.M. You need to set your biological clock in a way that you don’t feel sleepy during the exams.

DON’TS

Don’t Panic

Consider JEE Main as another exam and never panic. When you panic you turn nervous and that often leads to forgetting important points which you knew very well. After preparing for over two years now, you know the subjects, their chapters. You have given your 100% while preparation. Now you need to perform. And a nervous breakdown will hamper your performance.

No New Chapters

It is impossible to understand a new chapter in a week’s time. Even you can, it will take away from you valuable time which you can utilize in practicing and revising.

No Guess Work

Remember there are negative marks for every wrong answer, so going for guess work can cost you some precious marks. For questions that do not have negative marks and you don’t know the answer you may guess them, otherwise, it is best to avoid guessing.

Prepare, practice and score well.

All the best.
